That phrase is literally the creator of “silent cry for help!” This creates the lack of awareness of needing professional help, makes you want to solve your problems YOURSELF (creating self harm). IF 50% of the kids that were told this phrase were actually able to TALK, we’d be a much better person. I believe not only for “strong black women” but more of our men probably wouldn’t be locked up, wouldn’t be ashamed to seek help & us women & men would truly understand EARLY in life that it’s OK to NOT BE OK!

It doesn't give you a voice! And that's why a lot of people carry child abuse child molestation being abused mentally and physically or watched their mother or father being beat! Carried into adulthood and it leaves them with no self-esteem depression mental illnesses no self love and tend to allow others to use them this is really a deep deep conversation that could go on and on about issues from what goes on in this house stays in this house
It has silenced the voices of many hurting souls that need to talk about what happened in "that house". It has destroyed open communication, proper communication, and added a stigma for fear of being open that you would in turn get in trouble, carrying over even into adulthood!
